I’m pleased to bring you all 6 quilt patterns in textile artist Annette Frye’s new series Mighty Magnus. The quilt patterns (available as a downloadable PDFs) start with simple freezer paper template piecing to create six different dinosaur panels and then adds traditional sashing, floating cornerstones and a border to finish the quilt top. The pupils and nostrils are attached using raw-edge applique. The panels may look like foundation paper piecing, but they’re not. This is traditional piecing using freezer paper as your templates. If you can put 2 pieces of fabric together with a quarter-inch seam allowance, you can do this!
Quilting fabric that works well with these quilt patterns includes ombre prints such as Stonehenge Ombres (Northcott) and solids or textured solids such as Shadow Play (Maywood Studios), Painter’s Palette solids (Paintbrush Studio Fabrics), Robert Kaufman’s KONA Cottons, or Moda’s Bella Solids.
If you wish to purchase only a single pattern, you can find those available individually in my online shop. Check out my shop for the item that includes all 6 patterns.
Special Notes:

- You’ll find time-saving tips throughout these patterns.
- A separate chart for enough yardage for the 6 different patterns is also included as the 7th downloadable file.
